Creative romance is just like it sounds - creating or making romance. Creating romance is essential to maintaining the vibrancy of your relationship. Without taking the time to work at the romantic aspect of your relationship, you run the risk of letting the flames of your love die down. However, with a few creative ideas, you can ignite those sparks and set your passion ablaze once again.

It may seem obvious at first, but many people make the mistake of trying to create romance without ever finding out what their partner truly likes. If your guy likes to see you in lingerie, why spend your money on a new dress to wear to the club or a restaurant?
Maybe your partner would rather have a romantic bubble bath for two instead of a new bouquet of flowers. It may be a nice though (dressing for him; buying flowers for her), but if it isn’t what your partner truly wants, then you are missing the point of romance.

True romance is knowing what pleases your partner, and taking the time to make them happy. If you don’t know what they like, then ask them. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed. There will always be something that you can learn about your partner, and don’t be surprised if your partner’s preferences change over time. Relax and go with the flow, you will keep the romance in your relationship alive.

Take the time to look into your partner’s eyes

Again, this may seem a very simple thing, but it is amazing how quickly a relationship can change from passionate to passive. Gazing in each other’s eyes can stimulate the senses and create romance. Make sure that you use plenty of eye contact in your day-to-day interactions as well. You will be amazed at how much you can say to each other with your eyes.

When you are around others, give your partner your undivided attention

If you want to create romance and keep it alive, then make sure your partner knows that they are the most important person in your life. Disaster can strike in an instant by giving another person more attention then your partner. Face it, some people like to be flirtatious and it seems they thrive on causing trouble in other’s relationships. If you notice that your partner is feeling uncomfortable with a situation, address it immediately. Your partner deserves to feel that they are the number one person in your life.
