When their son Val (Williams’ son from a previous heterosexual relationship 20 years earlier) brings news of an engagement to the daughter of an ultra-conservative Senator, they're absolutely thrilled. But there’s a catch…the Senator (Gene Hackman) and his family are coming over for dinner and they’re under the impression that Armand is the Cultural Ambassador to Greece.
