I have a first date with a guy on february 4th. If things go well then I already feel the pressure for valentines days which is only 10 days after.

Hi Sara,

I love your ideas! They are so adorable and very unique!

And you are absolutely right; you don't want to project anything too serious for such a minimal time frame. What I've seen work as a fun spin on the light-heartedness is buying the super mushy, lovie dovie cards and polishing it off with something like,
"And your booty ain't half bad, either!"

If you do decide to use a heavily romantic card in such a manner, just be sure to sign it with something along the lines of being more friendly and casual but not stiff. "Thanks for sharing a wonderful day with me" would be appropriate, though your mac and cheese reference is so on time!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I had just gone out on my first date with my bf a week and a half before this past valentine's day, and we went to see Juno. So for valentines day I went to target, where they had little mini mailboxes (they are intended for little kids to put their valentines in it). Then I bought a bunch of boxes of orange tic-tacs and filled up the mailbox. I also got a box of mac-and-cheese and wrote "you are the cheese to my macaroni" on it. And of course I got him a box of chocolates. He absolutely loved it and it was perfect because it was to serious or anything
