Fun Free Date Ideas
Aug 23rd, 2008 | Affordable Ideas, Date Ideas, First Dates Ideas, Fun Ideas
Think back to the times in your life when you were happiest, or having the most fun. If you're like me, your happiest times were probably also your simplest. They didn't require large amounts of money or effort to make them happen - they just did. When you think about it, it's actually a little ironic. The best things in life are free, yet we work so hard to make our dates perfect, planned…and expensive. Don't we want the "best things" for our dates?

Breathing New Life Into An Old Standby
Mar 1st, 2008 | Affordable Ideas, Date Ideas, Dating Advice, Fun Ideas, Unique Ideas
As I finish touching up my makeup before hitting a night on the town, it occurred to me that the classic combo of eating then being entertained has never gone out of style. The standard date consisting of going out dinner, then following it up with a movie afterwards is always a safe bet, but sometimes, you just need to breathe new life into that old standby. (And speaking for myself, it's one of the things that PlanJam helps me out on quite a bit!)
Let's take a look at how to jazz up that mix!

Summer Date Ideas
May 18th, 2007 | Date Ideas, Fun Ideas, Unique Ideas
With summer right around the corner, dating is about to heat up. There is no reason to keep up with those old and tired date ideas that you have been using for so many years. Don’t get me wrong, I love bowling as much as the next person, but it does tend to get boring. Summer time offers a great opportunity to do some fun and creative things that can leave an impact on your date. After all, people just want to have fun on dates. Choosing something far from cliché is a great way to make sure this happens.
A Day At Venice Beach
Apr 8th, 2007 | Date Ideas, Dates, Fun Ideas, User Submitted
This weekend Liz and I decided to take advantage of the great weather and we headed out to Venice Beach. We had dinner plans for a double date at 7:00pm so we arrived a few hours early to hang out for a bit.
Parking in Venice is no picnic and you’ll be really lucky to find an available space along the street. You should read the signs carefully because you don’t want to get a ticket, or worse, have your car towed away. We couldn’t find any street parking so we parked at the lot on Rose Ave and Speedway for $4. Interestingly enough, there was a parking lot a few blocks south that was charging $14.
A Day At The Los Angeles Zoo
Apr 1st, 2007 | Date Ideas, Dates, Fun Ideas, User Submitted
Since today was our 6 month anniversary, I decided to take my girlfriend Liz to the Los Angeles Zoo. The weather was great so I wanted to take advantage of it by doing something fun outdoors.
12:00pm – We arrived at the Zoo at Noon and I was surprised that there was no charge for parking. You would think that finding parking would be almost impossible, but there were a ton of open spaces right near the entrance.
At first glance, the line to purchase tickets looks really intimidating, but it does move really quickly. We got to the ticket window in about 25 minutes and the price of admission was a reasonable $10 per person (children get in for $5).

Group Dating In Your Thirties
Feb 2nd, 2007 | Date Ideas, Dating Advice, First Dates, Fun Ideas
In junior high, before our parents would let us go out solo with the cute boy from history class, we embarked into the crowded and often hormone filled cesspool of group dating. Usually we were paired up with other kids our parents were friends with. Or worse, we had to cross our fingers that we didn’t get stuck with older brothers with new driver’s licenses or teamed up with cousins in town visiting for the holidays. All we wanted were a few stolen moments with the cute boy, but we rarely, if ever, got them.

Ice Skating With Your Date
Dec 19th, 2006 | Date Ideas, First Dates Ideas, Fun Ideas
Ice skating is a great activity to enjoy by yourself, on a date, or with a group of friends. In the past, ice skating was not just a recreational activity, but a way to travel over frozen lakes or rivers.
Today, ice skating can still be done on a natural ice surface, but most of the time people prefer to skate on a man-made ice skating rink. Because of the popularity of the sport, indoor ice skating rinks are available in most cities, and you can now ice skate all year round.
