AdApps, 18 years later
Date ideas, live on your site
In 2008 we sketched AdApps: little widgets that sat in a normal ad slot but actually did something. It took us 18 years to ship the first one. In fairness, we were busy. Paste one line of code and your visitors get real things to do near them. It's free.
Live preview
Click "More" to see it shuffle. That's the "app" part.
Local, automatically
Each visitor sees places near them. We get a rough location from our network, so nobody gets a "share your location?" popup.
No cookies, no tracking
It doesn't set cookies, run analytics or follow anyone around the internet. It shows date ideas. That's the whole job.
Real places
From the same listings as the planner: nearest first, open ones only, with an honest price estimate.
Free
No account, no fee. If your readers find a good date night, that makes everybody look good.
Got a business? The 2008 pitch still stands.
The original AdApps were for advertisers: your specials, events or menu, live in the box, on sites your customers already read, and useful enough that people click on purpose. That version is next. If you'd like to be in it, say hi.
